Jordan Park was established in 1889 by Dr. Henryk Jordan, a physician and pioneer of youth sports and physical education in Poland. Inspired by English landscape parks, he created a space that combined nature with areas for outdoor activity and healthy recreation.

The park was built on grounds previously used for the 1887 National Industrial and Agricultural Exhibition. Today it covers around 20 hectares and remains one of Kraków’s most popular green areas for both residents and visitors.
